The Associated Press has released a story about Alyssa Milano taking over as the female lead in Ghostbusters: The Video Game.
"Obviously, fans of the movie are going to miss Sigourney Weaver," said Milano, who was offered the part of the game's leading lady after Weaver declined to reprise her role as Dana Barrett. "I have so much respect for that character in the movie that I hope I do the position that she is in justice. I was just flattered to be asked to be part of 'Ghostbusters'."
In the game, players become a "Ghostbusters" recruit who assists the original team to take down ghastly foes like the ginormous Stay Puft Marshmallow Man and god of destruction Gozer. Milano said she spent one day in the studio voicing the character of Dr. Ilyssa Selwyn, the brainy guest curator of a "World of Gozer" exhibit at the Natural History Museum.
