It was tearing up the internets last week, and now its back on Ghostbusters Fans. As seen on Wired, Yahoo News, Engadget, Gizmodo, Joystiq and others. irrelevanttomfoolery has given us the first look at his Nintendo Wii Proton Pack in action with footage from Ghostbusters: The Video Game.

That looks pretty cool. I wonder why there is a delay when he slams the ghost? Also do the goggles do anything? I saw him put them on right before the level started. Probably just for looks.

I can't comment on the delay, but the Goggles are just there for show.

That being said, you have to appreciate the effort of the piece when the action starts.

Oh yeah! It's very cool! I wasn't trying to cut it down. I just wondered if the wii remote had that delay, and it had nothing to do with the pack. I've never played the wii version.

once a ghost is worn down enough, it has to be slammed around a few times most of the time to be trapped. The brief high pitched sound, an arrow pops up in a direction Up Down Left or Right and there's a short window of time to jerk the remote in the correct direction. Then it reacts to your direction.

IMO it's a lot of fun, the Wii control is great and interactive.

up until this pack existed I would have said that is the only version you need to play...but now...this changes things...

I'm 100% jealous at this point. that is the coolest Wii remote ever!! Very nice, loved the containment scene with the memory card as the trap. hope to see more levels to come!! Will he have a photo in the containment for all the Wii ghosts?

the wii version is way different than the 360 , the 360 has a better story line. just picked it up for WII a week ago tho , its really worth the buy

It's the same basic storyline, the Wii version just had some slightly different lines.
