Hello, my name is Patrick Nichols. I'm 28, married, and have a 15 month old son named Connor. I'm a Second Class Petty Officer (E-5) Air Traffic Controller in the US Navy, and I'm currently stationed at NAS Jacksonville, Florida.

I just recently joined the ranks in the costuming community with my induction in the Vader's First 501st Legion charity costuming group. I'm TB-9302 which means my costume is a Biker Scout from Return of the Jedi. This adventure so far has been amazing, and the troops I've had the pleasure of doing have sparked an incredible new desire for more costumes. I've got "The FEVER"!!! Since I've obtained my first favorite costume, it was time to get my second favorite costume. I mean, what kid growing up in the 80's didn't want to have an authentic Ghostbusters costume?

I don't know if buying off of eBay is frowned upon in this community like it is in the 501st community (only because the quality and authenticity usually suffers when bought from eBay), but I've already made my purchase. I won an auction for two GB1 flight suits already completed with dye and patches, a fairly authentic proton pack with working lights (no sound), Vietnam web belt, belt accessories with belt gizmo (mother and daughter board), the MT500 hand radio and holster, ecto goggles with 3 stage functional LED light on the side, and a pair of black plasma electrical gloves. This should all arrive at my door in about a week and a half so I'll post pics when it arrives.

Some people might look down their nose at buying a complete set because a lot of people feel that building your own is way more satisfying. While I completely agree with that statement, I'm a very very impatient person. When I get "The FEVER" and a great opportunity presents itself, I jump on that mess like stink on $#!+.

I've already had the pleasure of talking to one of the First Coast Ghostbusters members, and hopefully I'll be able to come out this Saturday to Cafe 331, to meet the rest of them.

Well I just got back from the Cafe 331 event with the First Coast Ghostbusters and I had a blast!! I just wanted to take a second to say thank you for the invite Jason, and it was awesome meeting everybody!

That's great work with the 501st! Yes, it's frowned upon because there are people out there who take advantage of fans. Please look under "Banned Seller list" to be sure. My son is 8, and there are quite a few Dad's out here. My friends are in the Army and Navy, one is shipping home from Iraq and the other is shipping out to Afghanistan.

Thanks for the heads up!! I'll go check it out now. The seller called me on the phone yesterday saying he was at the UPS store shipping it out at that very moment, so hopefully that's a good sign



Awesome! I'm glad the one friend is coming home safe, and I hope the one going to Afghanistan will come home safe too!!
