It has been a while since Ghostbusters Fans had a giveaway, and seeing how Comic Con brought us some cool exclusive stuff... what a better time than to give some away to Ghostbusters Fans' Supporting Members! I have three items to give away, two of them are SDCC exclusives, and one of the items won't be available for nearly another month (one lucky member will recieve it early!). They giveaway items are:

-SDCC Toys R Us Exclusive "Ready to Believe You" Minimates.
-SDCC Exclusive "Citizen Ghost" Retro Active Peter Venkman
-MattyCollector.com Lab Coat Ray Stantz with Subway Ghost.

Seeing as how there are three items, and three levels of Supporting Membership (Regular, Silver, & Gold). I will be giving one item away to one user in each level. There are less users with Silver and Gold Memberships, so they have higher odds of winning. That means if you currently have a Supporting Membership consider upgrading to either Gold or Silver.

This giveaway is only elligible to users who have a Supporting Membership. If you would like to sign up please check out this link: http://www.gbfans.com/fans/supporting/

You can also get a free Supporting Membership by updating site pages in the Wiki. So keep that in mind if you are interested. This giveaway will end on August 1st (one week from today) and a winner will be chosen randomly from each level of Supporting Membership. Please make sure you have an active membership on August 1st to be elligible!

This is just another way Ghostbusters Fans is giving back to users who have supported us over the years!

think i will upgrade on friday the 30th when i get paid. that way my chance is better, also will be worth it.

I would just like to point out that it is not a "Give Away" if you first MUST purchase something. Kinda lame.

It does not matter. The software handles everything. You pay, and then a short time later its all setup and active.

And I would like to point out that you can earn a Supporting Membership for free without purchasing anything. AS written in the main news post AND on the Supporting Membership page.

Does that even really matter, anyway? You'd be supporting the site if you purchase it (hence SUPPORTING membership), which makes it possible to even have the site in the first place. As for the giveaway, AJ didn't have to do this, but, he is, as a thank you to those of us that support it, either by contributing funds or information. It's not "Pay money to enter a contest!" It's "Support the site, and have this awesome opportunity to win free stuff as a thank you!"

I would just like to point out this is the most hilariously stupid way to "introduce" yourself to the site with your first post criticizing a nice contest being put forth by AJ. Very lame.

Actually MOST give aways require a payment of some sort. It's RARE for a give away not to require something. The give aways that are free are usually because you already did something for them like buy their product, give them a good review, recommended it to others etc

Great contest AJ. I've been meaning to become a Supporting Member for a while now... just put my money where my mouth is. I won't lie... the contest helped with a little kick in the ass, but hey... great site, I'm on it constantly at work, might as well support it.
