Just unveiled at San Diego Comic Con by Mattel! The new Ghostbusters Ecto Goggles replica prop! Expected to be released in Spring 2013! Price is not yet known, but is estimated at $80-120.

Includes lights and animation of slimer on the inside. The sound sensitive electronics synch up with your Mattel PKE Meter which changes the animation on the inside. The faster your PKE Meter works, the faster the slimer animation on the faceplate will move!

Pictures may be available soon, however the prototype is not yet finished.

Absolutely stoked about this. And that it syncs with the pke is just amazing. So excited for this.

Hope we don't have to get the rerelease pke for sync. I wasnt planning on Ordering a 2nd, but I did budget 150 for the prop.

Curious how they're going to sync with the PKE. Does the re-release have a minijack plug in the handle?

I hope these aren't going to be a disappointment, but also not too expensive!

I'm definitely down for one, depending on price, I might opt for a second. I'll be interesting to see how they handle the harness.

Funny to think that the plastic frame on Matty's Goggles will almost certainly be stronger than the frame of a genuine set of PVS-5 night vision goggles, doesn't happen very often that a toy company outdoes military surplus.

It's gotta be sound synched. This would explain why the sound is so off of the actual movie and game sound effects. They needed something easily detectable by future devices. The PKE sounds a lot like a weak smoke alarm.

It's probably just viewing the LEDs on the wings like a wiimote.

Grin... my homemade goggles back in the 80's had a sticker of Slimer on the inside.

Kinda validating.

This has gotta be well worth the wait. The goggles will be awesome. Nice touch with the PKE sync as well.

Yeah, I kinda figured the beeps would be the sync guide. Sound sensativity seems more in line with their projected $60 price point too. Dang.
