Gamereactor International has posted a video of Wii gameplay from the upcoming Ghostbusters video game. This version of the game is being developed by Red Fly Studios (vs the Terminal Reality version) and will be a little simpler and have enhanced gameplay modes.

Thanks to GBFAN79 for being the first one to send this one in!

I think the voices actually fit the Wii characters a little better.

NICE!! I've been waiting for that video to come out. Only thing I don't like about the video is that the game play is shaky because of the Wii motion sensors. But thats great info that they shared and showed us about the game.

I am completely sold on this game now(not that my arm needed much twisting).

Like everyone else I was blown away by the first trailer but that was just very good eye candy.

But now I have seen some actual gameplay and it looks like it will be a blast to play.

Now I wish I hadn't seen this trailer; it makes June even farther away.

Wow. It's nice to finally get to see some of the Wii game play. It really does look like it will be a totally different experience from the 360 version. Geez I can't wait for these!! Great job to all involved.

Looks like fun, but I think I'll still start out with the PS3 version and hold out until the Wii version drops to a lower price point. It sounds like I'd mainly only be playing the co-op mode on the Wii version - plus the control already looks a tad on the frustrating side (notice how many times he had to do that weird square dancing back up shuffle just to get through a door way? Unless that was purposeful?)

I also dug how the player walks right through a proton stream about 4 minutes in... didn't appear that friendly fire does any damage, which is a shame. Could have been some comedy in that.

Maybe they realized that the friendly fire concept would make the game less enjoyable. Maybe it only factors in while you're playing it at higher difficulty settings? Who knows?

Also, it will be awkward. If you've ever played any FPS Wii titles (Elobits, Far Cry, et cetera), you look up/down and turn by guiding the cursor to the sides of the screen. It'll take some getting used to. I just point the cursor at what I want to get to.

I think that the inclusion of a proton gun attachment for your remote would help the sales on this a little bit, maybe even a full-blown proton pack, but chances are you'll have to settle for the crossbow.

genius idea! I may have to buy a wii just to play this version after I play the PC version - but the gun/pack idea is brilliant, I can see lots of kids putting their school back-packs on when they play this!

It's not the 80's man, most "kids" don't know what Ghostbusters is. Sure, the highschool crowd and maybe some of the middle school kids might, but I doubt they'll be putting on thier back packs to play a game.

What kind of PC did you own in the 90s?

But obviously Wii doesn't have the capabilities of looking like the 360/PS3/PC version of the game. I think that using the wiimote as the wand will totally make up for it.

The Wii is a fantastic little piece of gaming equipment. It doesnt try to be up there with the 2 big boys, so it sticks to its strengths. Thats why it is outselling the 360 and PS3 combined. It's something different and fun.

Wii version looks great to me, and it looks like because there are enough difference between versions, that having both versions might be cool as well.

As far as wii graphics are concerned, Wii gamers are more interested in having fun, the worying about glizty high end graphics. If I want those, I game on my pc.. when we want to just have fun, we use our wii.

And they just reported that they sold 2 more million units in November alone! They now outnumber the closest next gen console untis be 2-1! Nintendo hasn't enjoyed that kind of market dominance in many years.

I'm hoping next christmas we'll see a Wii2, with higher end graphics, and backwards compatibility.

We've more then gotten our money out of our wii system.

Yeah Nintendo has always stuck to making fun games. I felt like gaming had come to an end when PS and Xbox came out because it was all about "hardcore games" (aka FPS for the most part). They can be fun, but how many can you own and play? I was playing Half-Life and Doom and Quake on my computer then going in the other room switching in my Nintendo and just going balls to the wall goofy fun.

I'm glad to see that kind of gaming come back.
The Wii can do a lot of technical work, it can be a power house in the right hands just like the gamecube could be (I mean go back and look at the Resident Evil remake on the GCN it was awesome right up there with the Xbox and Ps2 high end games.) Will it be able to do all the graphic stuff; nah. But too many games worry about that sooo much that the games are either
A)Too short
B)Boring and Bland
C)All Flash

Having more then one platform is just the way to go if you are a real gamer. Wii nay sayers need to give it a shot and try and have fun with it, cause it is very fun.

yep.. i can;t remember even the number of fps and 3d games I've just not been compelled enough to complete. Even some of the most recent tomb raider games lost my interest after a while. (Though tomb raider anniversary, and the recent underworld games throw ya back to the fun days of gaming.

Too many games now either require you devote your life to learning how to play them, or are completed in just a week's time.

Hell, I played super mario brothers for months to complete it.. yet I finished doom 3 in less then a week's time.

I don't care how much money the spend in game development, or how uber realistic the games 3d engine is, if I'm done with it after a few days, it is a very limited experience that I'll soon forget.

It's kinda funny because I can still pick up joust, pacman, a mario brothers game, zelda, and they have fun replay value.. most of my pc titles, I'm bored with after a week.

(There are exceptions.. Dungeon Siege, Diablo, Unreal Tournament, mainly multiplayer games you play with others online.)

the gameplay element of this wii version looks awesome! I think I might try and make a proton gun attachment for wii mote while I wait.
The graphics I the other hand... Not really impressed. They look very wanna be next gen.
Before everyone attacks me saying "wii graphics, not hd", I know that. I just think if they wanted to give the game more of a cartoon look, they shouldn't have gone in the 3d rendering direction they've gone for. It could have been nice to see this game to have the real ghostbusters cartoon look, but failing that, it could have been better to at least gone for a cell shading approach. Something killer7 or no more heroes. No more heroes was sweet on the wii, looked cool and controls were great for the wii.
I just think if they wanted a cartoon style, it would have been nice if they followed the cartoon's style. Even if was extreme ghostbusters cartoon look.

It would have been a better demo if the guy didn't walk around in circles and do nothing else for the first few minutes.

Did anyone notice that when the librarian turns into the evil ghost, as they're fighting her, you can hear the movie cue music in the background? I thought that music worked great in the fight scene.

I certainly hope that the "Wii Only" items are really "Wii & PS2 Only" items.
