It's been 20yrs since I've seen actions figures like these...No, wait, not like THESE! but I've been waiting 20yrs to SEE actions figures like THESE. Is it sad that being 25yrs old I freak out over Ghostbuster toys??? Nah, no way, hell no! This is my childhood preserved, and what do I mean? Well, as a child, lets say since 5yrs old, I've been infatuated with any Ghostbuster, shit, I still have dreams of throwing a proton stream and capturing ghosts! I've been lucky enough to recieve every Ghostbuster toy ever made, except for extreme Ghostbusters, never really got into them since I KNEW that THEY weren't the REAL GHOSTBUSTERS.
Currently, I will watch it if by all else means I have to haha. Back on the collectibles, and I mean COLLECTIBLES, because I will not ruin these guys the way I did when I was a kid. I DID have every GB toy, but now I'm lucky to find one or two, here and there. Though I've lost my childhood GB fetish in plastic form (old toys) I've never lost the spirit or my childish WANT for new GB toys!
Over the years, I've resorted to building GB props out of cardboard and plastics (which I'm damn proud of) but now I get to purchase these COLLECTIBLES and savor my childhood dreams. Hopefully, one day I will have children and they WILL obsess over GHOSTBUSTERS because I will not let that NOT happen!
To conclude, thank you Matty Collector and all of you GB fans for making this possible, and most of all, THANK YOU Dan Aykroyd, for envisioning a concept that will live on and get better with age, like a fine wine!
Dr. Ray Stantz: Hey, where do these stairs go?
Dr. Pete Venkman: They go up!
