The new Ecto-goggles are made from the frames of an AN/PVS-5a set of infrared goggles. ( Thanks Thiago! ) Electronics home-made but based on a 5-LED chaser from hobbytron.com, and powered by 12v worth of 2450 watch batteries contained in the military battery casing built into the underside of the goggles. The radar display actually rotates like a radar sweep. The dials on both sides adjust the 7 x 3mm LEDs inside of each eyepiece tube up and down to adjust brightness. |
