| | This is the progress of the restoration / conversion of my 1959 Cadillac Superior Hearse as of Monday, February 25, 2002. All of the mechanical work has been completed and it is now being readied to have the two left, and rear windows cut into the body and glass installed.
The Superior as it came to me, was in very good condition, considering the age and location (New Jersey). Most of the glass, to my chagrin, needed to be replaced, including the windsheild. The lenses for the foglights in the front bumper needed to be replaced and it had 1970 wheels and hubcaps that had to be switched out for 59's. The total cost for the original purchase of the vehical was $6,500. |
