testing the lights: the power read out is brighter than I expected. I used a sharpie to draw lines across the plastic window to make a power level indicator. at this angle you can see how the light is directed into the smaller front box and reflects off the shiny poster board inside of that shape. the 2nd beacon shines toward the rear of the trap to illuminate the small lens near the handle. not done with that part yet.
