| | Not much to say. It's a trap.
Before there were Ghost Trap door servo controllers, I bought a Hyperdyne Bounty Hunter ( Fett ) helmet antennae servo and controller. Instead of raising and lowering an antennae, I used it to open and close my doors. They open/close by one of two methods. Either the onboard button just under the handle ( and next to the red blinking light ) or the foot pedal. The foot pedal is connected by a co-axial TV style cable. When you step on the pedal, the circuit is completed and the doors open or close.
I tried a dozen different ideas for making the trap smoke ( and listened to a hundred different people give me their 2-cents on the topic ) but nothing seemed to pan out. Either it created moisture ( don't need that with interior electronics ) or required more electronics. I'll make a separate "smoking trap" later. For now, it lights up with red blinking lights ( on both ends ) and makes a beeping sound. Stepping on the pedal shuts off those lights and sounds, and activates a high-pitched whine sound and a solid white light from the interior while the doors open. One more step of the pedal and they close again, returning to the original red lights and beeping.
The wheels are from a pull-back-and-release car but the weight of the trap stopped this idea from panning out. Oh, you can pull it BACK no problem. ...try letting it go and see what ( doesn't ) happen.
