Ecto-san's Proton Pack

This is a Proton Pack made from an original mold and cast by GBfans.com member, gbrob. I went with a Midwest Prop Shop Ion Arm, since it was a little lighter. Some of the brass fittings and hose barbs are from SofaKingSuite studios. The pack is a nice size and weight, and sits nicely on your back. The motherboard is wood. I thought he did a great job with making the pack look very accurate. The thrower came mostly assembled, but still needed hoses and other details. I went with my easy-to-make medicine bottle Clippard Valves, and most of the knobs are parts from cymbal stands and other assorted little pieces of drumkit hardware. I drilled a small hole in the gun plate to attach a key ring so I could clip the thrower to my belt. I really like this pack, as did Ernie Hudson at Adventurecon2008, who was nice enough to sign the motherboard for free. This is a good con pack and holds together nicely. The ion knob on the bumper is the back of a Darth Maul Force FX lightsaber. :-) A huge thanks to gbrob for getting this awesome prop to me in time for AdventureCon.

Thanks, man! It was a pleasure meeting you at Adventurecon. This was the pack I was wearing when you met me. It's a good pack, I like it a lot. Peace!
