Got Maul's Proton Pack
|
| | Finally, this was it . It was my second completed pack in six months and in my eyes, probably the last one for a long long time. As someone once mentioned, this pack was unique in that I was mainly an orchestrator of events and pieces. When I say this pack purely belongs to the ASAP, I am not kidding. Being in my last year of graduate thesis work, I found myself with little time to get behind the drawing board this time around. I looked around and realized with all the talent around me, I simply asked to purchase certain pieces and slowly compile an accurate pack. The upper portions of this pack were resin casted for durabilty and provided by Venkman71's incredible artistic touch. The incredible proton gun was completely conceived and crafted from his hand as well (this boy has talent!). Volguus was the author of the cyclotron , booster frame, cyclo details, HGA and N filter. As you can see, his pieces are incredible dead on too. The spacer was provided by WolverineX, the plans followed were Bugstompers, bellows by Gideon Vanguard and metal V hooks were made by CPU64. As I said, I was merely an orchestrator of this symphony of parts. I sanded and finished off the pieces so that everything would fit just right. I also did the motherboard and the cosmetic plating to give everything that cohesive look. Lastly, after visiting the real packs in D.C. Planet Hollywood, I was convinced the paint job was glossy, but not too much. I used a Satin rich gloss spray paint. In my eyes, the finish and color were dead on. I believe this pack is a great testament to the craftsmanship of the ASAP . I am proud to bear this pack since it is the symbol of what ASAP has done. Most of all,
I am finally satiated. |
