Protonguy06's Proton Pack

Protonguy06

20-Year-Old Male
Minneapolis - Madison, MN - WI
The third and final installment to the protonguy06 proton pack building era.

This pack is made mostly of 1/4 inch plywood scraps I have scrounged together. Pretty much what you see is what you get at this stage.

Total work time to date: 3 years, 2 months (ouch)

(11-15-08):

In the past 2 months I have been able to paint this sucker and that is it. Guess I should have went to school closer to home. Hopefully I am done buying parts for this thing and can finish it up over winter break coming up. Besides the paint I have also been able to mount it to the motherboard and get the ALICE frame attached. Give me another couple months for everything else and hopefully I will finish the pack.

(12-26-08):

Tis the season and I got some more work done on her. I finished the final coat of paint on both the pack and gun and installed the lights. I still have some small parts to finish and attach and also to weather the thing (which might get postponed). Hopefully by next weekend the final pictures will be uploaded, but for now I just threw up my most recent one.

I have been anxious to see this hit its final stages. I must say, this will be one of the best scratch built packs to date and the best wood pack hands down. Great work man!

Mainly a jigsaw. I have also used a Dremel for sanding down certain areas and making certain elements of the pack. I haven't used any special tools mainly to prove that it really can be done by anyone willing to devote the time.
