hey fellow busters! i just thought i'd come and write a quick blog to give you a little more info on me, also, to share a few of my ghostbusters related stories.
so, my names john, i'm 26 a writer and pretty much obessed with the world of movies, especially the 80's world.
i first got into the ghostbusters...hmmmmm, i guess in around 86 when the cartoon seris was released, but, saying that, i don't really remember a world without ghostbusters in it! i just can't imagine it...funny that.
Ok, so i guess it was probly 87 before i saw the movie for the first time, i remember cause it was the origional tv premiere, which was on itv.
I'd stayed up late that evening, mum had let me cause i basically nagged her untill she caved in.
she was concerned the movie would be to scary for what was then a 7 year old john.
funnily enough, she was right... i didn't even make to the fucking title sequence! i saw the libarian and i was fucking out of there! lmao ..... remember this was a very different world,...shit , i know kids who watch the exorcist and think it's funny, i personally think it's the most scary piece of action ever to be put to film.... anyway, slightly diverting off the subject, then about a month later i duped one of my grand parents into taking me to the video shop and letting me rent it, next thing you know i'm watching the movie at least once a day until i was 9! then we had the ghostbusters 2 movie which at the time i remember being awesome but now i think it pretty much copied the first movie....akroyd and ramis may have stumbled across a brillant idea ( well from what i hear akroyd wrote a piece of shit about a space ship or something then ramis wrote ghostbusters!) for the first movie but the second was far far to floored, but i guess i can rant about that and give my honest opinions and shit of both movies...which i will and the fan movies! yeah the fan movies are gonna get some reviewing to!..... so, anyway, then ninja turtles came along and i jumped on that rather more shakey band wagon.
i guess my intrest was re ignited about the age of 14 when i found a load of the comics which i used to collect and began to read them, then i gave them away..dumbass! so, that re ignited my passion for the concept... again i started watching the movie.... at the age of 21 i think, i got the logo tattooed on my arm...true devotion! still every now and then i pull the movie out and watch it and laugh my ass off..... so, right now..... i'm building my first proton pack and uniform, i've got the patch in the post and i'm looking about for an appopiate jumpsuit for myself, whcih, is gonna be bal ache cause i'm 6.5... and im guessing most pilots aint. and my pack is coming along nicely it's looks load better than it did in the first pic will get a seris of pics uptoday hopefully.
so yeah thats about it for the moment, i guess ill post again whe i have something to say..
