| About: i went to the art institute of ft lauderdale for media arts and animation (ba). ever since i saw jurassic park and dragonheart i've always wanted to do special effects/3d. my fiance also got his media degree there.
from pixar to practical effects to animatronics; i love it all.
i have a kitteh named pancake. he's really cute and really almost 3, but very active and curious like he's still a kitteh.
i also had my hand is hobbywork for awhile, on again and off again. i help my grandfather turn a bedroom into a train room when i was little, helped him on various stuff, i painted and modded warhammer models (dark elves and tyranids woo!), though i never got around to actually playing with them - too much fun to paint. i have put together and painted resin draco and headless horseman resin models, as well as model planes. the ghostbusters pack is much bigger than what i'm used to, and more building too. i just love painting. | | Favorite Movies: mostly sci fi/ fantasy, though we're known to do very cheesy, awesomely bad horror nights like dead alive and such. comedies and mindless action are ok too, though i can be picky about them.
this goes hand in hand with my schooling, so anything like that, i'm watching. |
| Favorite Music: my fav genre is squarely industrial; though i can go anywhere from metal to hard rock to alternative to adult contemporary depending on my mood at the time.
our radio station here plays everything of that nature from now to the 80' - 90's, so it's always great to see what they play and what you've forgotten about.
current favs: depeche mode, nin, blacq audio, black light burns (wes borlan's new project!), and celldweller. |
| Favorite TV Shows: i don't watch too much tv but when i do it's either comedy central or a variation of the discovery/history channel (modern marvels ftw!)
i love information. if something makes me say 'how'd they do that?' i hafta go find out. this applies to tv (ie discovery channel), books, and everything else i like. |
| Favorite Books: again, sci fi/ fantasy. funny how most are long series. dragonlance series, hitchhikers guide series (yes, we took towels to the opening nite!), sword of truth series (turned into a tv show by sam raimi), dark tower series.
not surprisingly, i'm also a comic fan. i don't like much from the big 2 (except i get batman, thor, and runaways, everything else the fiance gets from these two and i'll read his on occasion), but i'm mostly independent. again, sci fi and/or stuff with nice art or stories to get your mind thinking. |
| Interests: i have been a girl gamer since i was 5 and my mom bought a nes. since then i've had snes, ps, ps2, xbox360 and wii. college happened about middle ps2, so from then on consoles are used by my fiance for the most part while i got more interested in pc gaming. except rock band and culdcept. :D
i believe i'm on my 2nd or 3rd incarnation of my pc. i built and modded it myself, purple lights and all. i love tinkering in my case, and i can be REALLY ocd about cable management.
game genres: rpg, rts, strat, sim, adventure (picky), puzzle. pretty much everything but no fps or racing.
current games: wow, warhammer, spore, lego batman, settlers, heroes of might and magic v, puzzle quest. i have account in guild wars and vanguard, but don't have time for them much.
instead of barbies i played with legos and was a general tomboy. i've since turned a little more girly, but you will never see me in pink. or ruffles. humpf.
i'm also part of the leather community down here, and as such i love dressing up. not really much on the anime side, but since my fiance loves spiderman, black cat is in the works as is the ghostbusters costume. |
