I'm guessing you didn't get stainless steel hooks? I used ones similar to these. They bend easily, and they sell them at Home Depot:

I bet we could design a pretty good plastic cover which, with some refractive properties similar to the CD cases, could give the illusion of being like the genuine bargraph After seeing that LED bargraph, I got to thinking it might be possible to create a lens with similar properties by laser cutti...

Amazing! What does it take to power and animate them? Is it something the mighty could handle? It appears to have 30 filaments. If you drove the filaments in pairs that would give you 15 pairs, the same as the number of LEDs in a standard thower bargraph. Then, assuming 20mA was sufficient to light...

I think the two-tone effect may simply be a result of the gloves having a textured surface on the palm. There's no way that's neoprene.

While I was reading this whole thing, a thought occurred to me, everyone is bringing up the toxicity and flammable aspects of this, I I'd like to add that you're dealing with compressed air ,c02, whatever. What if something were to come loose and turn your N-filter (or any part of your pack) into a...

I don't think there's any danger of frostbite with how he has it set up. The gas has time to expand and warm up inside the n-filter. Frostbite would happen if you sprayed it directly on your finger for some period of time. As for chemical burns, I don't see any warning on the can about that and I ki...

Why not just use canned smoke?] That stuff reportedly uses the same stuff as a fog machine, and hangs in the air: http://www.ohgizmo.com/2009/06/12/smoke-spray-in-a-can/ I don't think cons and bars would appreciate you using that inside. I can do the warning beeps before the vent sequence when you're firing normally, but it looks like I will have to keep the beeps during the venting when you are in slo-blo mode, because the shotgun, like the muon blaster in that video I linked to, doesn't heat the pack up over time but instead adds ...

Heh, actually that video segment I linked to demonstrates how I may have gotten mixed up, because when he fires the muon blast or whatever that is, the pack overheats instantly, and the beeps trigger, and the pack begins venting at the same time, and since they mix sound effects you hear both at onc...

and what else i mean is at 4.10 on the vid you say if you hit the vent the leds will return to there normal speed. the cyclotron opens then when you flick it up we just get a powerup sound which makes no sense because the cyclotronwould still be still open No, what happens is when you flip it down,...

It appears you're correct about the overload beep. Damnit! also in the beginning of the vid when you hit the vent switch the cyclotron opens then when you hit that switch back up it just plays the powerup sound and no cyclotron closing. is this just how you have it configured? question after you held the front orange button for 8 it overheated and only vented down but didnt do the other half of the vent What do you mean? Both halves of the vent sound played. Are you referring to the animation on the bargraph? That's intentional. It's supposed to represent the dropping te...

Going to try to have the code done in another week or so, and I am waiting on a shipment of 3mm leds that may take a couple weeks. They'll start going out after those arrive. In the meantime if I get the code done, I'll start assembling the powercells and bargraphs and switches so I have those ready.
