I was convinced those Ectomobile shots were CGI. No way in hell they would pull that move, in that car, on a soundstage. That's SO COOL to see!!!:love::love:

Ecto24601 wrote: April 9th, 2024, 9:12 am Any word on the phone booth room from GB2? That's one of the biggest oddities to me.
That was on a soundstage in Burbank, along with the dark room.

I'd like to own all the writing material for the film. The paper, the pencils, the typewriters. anything like that. it always fascinated me how in my hand a pencil might be a tool for a stick figure doodle but in a writer's hand could create a franchise that defines my childhood. There's an old Ayk...

Plus, we know from that interview YHS did with Kurt Fuller years ago, that the late Gilbert Gottfried was cast for the role of Petrosius. Wouldn't it be wild if that turns out to be a deleted scene? Or maybe because of the fire element, it wasn't filmed or they ran out of time during principal and ...

The Petrosius scene was still in the script during the NYC production, so no surprise that the exteriors were shot. There are probably a few takes with the GBs and ECTO 1A at the location, as written. There's also the chance it was a second unit shot (sans GBs) under the direction of Peter Giuliano....

Indeed, the angle and height of the eclipse VFX shot don't correlate with what we know of the size and location of City Hall, but it does feasibly work with Parkview Hospital, and the plotted scene where Louis and Sherman observe the event from one of the hospital's windows. This 100%. The c...

I really loved both trailers. Amazing stuff. But... What is up with all the smearing and blurring? It is really bad in the beach footage, things like the Ecto-1 chase, heck there is a shot in Walter Pecks office where everyone other than Gary are blurring. This seems to be a choice, so is it? Or ha...

I love the subliminal caution striping on the Fioretti Vigo!

Slimerrrrr, come back in, you'll catch a cold!

I had a tiny bit of disappointment when Stantz didn’t have an eyepatch in Afterlife.

At the correct perspective, I think it looks like an abstract version of the "ECU blast" effect from GB1.

IT'S PODCAST!!!! :sigh:

Yes, it was been seen during 2nd unit filming in NYC. It's in this set of photos.

That must get so old, constantly filling up the little fuel tank they installed in the quarter panel.
Weight-savings for the stunt driving, I guess?

…or maybe Peck was Winston’s first employee?

It’s funny you say that. I just found this Dan Aykroyd quote when he was promoting GB2: “Ghostbusters 2 is all about negativity, festering evil, child endangerment, medical gaslighting & forced imprisonment” Oh and check out this quote from Ghostbusters “It’s all about environmental policy in a...

It's when the topic starts straying away from subject: digressions into Flippin Arkansas... Wait, what?! I'm not seeing this mention. I live somewhat close to Flippin! Their mascot is the Bobcats. Flippin Bobcats! It's hilarious! I wouldn't be surprised if Slimer was hosed with it and that's what m...

when Lady Liberty smashes in the skylight? Venkman’s line doesn’t even really make much sense but holy crap does it sound epic & awesome, with that music? “I love it when you roughhouse!” “drop the hammer on em” and then they rappel down the line? These guys are friggin superhero’s. Look at em ...

Nothing But Trouble… sigh.:love: I wish Aykroyd had directed more in his career.

Your right, the amount of success DA had by 1989 meant no one would argue with him least of all on a sequel to one of the biggest comedy films of the decade. You would think! The gang shelved his original GB2 script. I was watching the trailer, don't you think that the light on Dan's face during th...

There was no studio mess up on Ghostbusters 2. There was no studio meddling. The movie that was made was the one Ivan Reitman, Harold and Dan set out to make. Any movement on this? Nope. They're presumably deep into post after their return to the States to do a few more interviews. Hopefully in a year's time, it start to be released on various platforms like they did with CUTT. If Derek Osborn sees this, maybe he can weigh in with how far along they are....

It's pretty cool, Venkman's loft was built as a full exterior/interior set at Burbank. One big slice of the building!

I'm guessing Ivan was referring to the actual NYC building's history, where they filmed the exterior shots.

It's been confirmed in a roundabout way that VFX/post-production is still rolling along.
