That was the first thing I tried actually. The black belt in the pic was done that way. I used duplicolor fabric and vinyl paint. Do you have another brand you would suggest??

I can't say whether or not you will get more crotch room with a long, I would think so but not sure. But if go through the thread some one might have discussed this already.

As long as you are happy with the outcome of whatever way you want to build a pack or put together a uniform, thats all that matters. I have a friend who makes proton packs out of cardboard, rubber, and tape. Its no "accurate" replica but he doesnt care, hes happy with it and to be honest ...
