I used spacers for vibrations between the motherboard and the speaker frame. You don't have to use them, but I personally prefer them.

I also prefer to use hot glue to mount the lenses, reflectors, and bulbs. It's much easier to tear apart if you ever had to replace a broken or defective part. The trick to remember is that a little goes a long way, don't get trigger happy and make sure your contact area is slightly scuffed and clea...

Mounting the speaker facing outward (your back) will be much easier. Jjust add some nylon or rubber spacers to absorb vibrations and create a slight air gap between the speaker frame and the motherboard. If you're using more than one speaker, such as a subwoofer for additional base, you'll want that...

Anovos can provide a quality product, I own their Star Trek II command division uniform and it is certainly top notch, but they seem to struggle with customer service and logistics. It seems like they're still a very small team, a lot of which travels all over the country, so their resources are str...

I have new concerns, not so much about quality, but follow through on orders. I very recently attempted to order some pieces and only received a portion of my order, despite the records showing that the entire order was shipped (we're not talking cheap here either). I'm going on week 3 of trying to ...

Attended a Ghostbusters Day downtown for the premiere, finally got to take the new pack out in public, along with the original. I can't really recall how much it was off the top of my head but it was well over $1k, not including some tools that I had to purchase to get the job done.

Now it's time for a third, only this time it's a Nick-a-tron kit! The level of detail in this kit is just awesome, hat's off to Nick on this one. I'll save a lot of the boring details, but I am very happy with the way it came together, for the record I eyeballed most of this, I figured it would help...

Always great to see someone building a pack out of wood. This looks fantastic, are you building it as a shell or will individual pieces be removable for easy access to lights?

I plan on eventually picking one up for the heck of it. It'll be neat to have a pack that I scratch built, one that I assembled from a member of the community (Nick-a-tron), and one that is licensed. Not to mention, I'm all for supporting Anovos, they've been doing a lot of cool kit and it's good to...

I feel much better about these kits knowing that a lot of old guard is at the helm of it's development, especially GM being the CEO of Anovos, totally did not know that. I know a few folks locally that would appreciate a top notch kit at that price point.

Stunning work! I'm always glad to see builds like this still happening and for such a great occasion too!!

I had a few laughs at the trailer, I know Wiig and McKinnon will do it justice and I like whacky special effects. Still not sold on the Proton Packs but I don't think anything will ever catch my eye quite like the originals. Looking forward to seeing this in theaters opening night!

Received a pack kit today that I ordered from Nick a few months back. It was definitely well worth the wait! Handling an interview with one of the local media outlets, lots of questions about the new movie. Here are my finally results. It has a very slight hint of green (to me anyway), I may re wash it at a later date with a bit of blue but for now it will do, gotta get it to the uniform shop to have the patches sewn on. http://i885.photobucket.com/albums/ac58/RamenNoodler86/284D41ED-511D-44A1-AC8C-FDE...

Under Armor everything (shirt, underwear, and shorts). I use to wear gym shorts and a t shirt but even that got a little too warm. This stuff breathes better and works in hot and cold, it's expensive but worth the added comfort.

I hit this same spot where I either had too much green or too much blue. I finally managed to balance it out with black and then a wash on warm with detergent. This looks great so far though!
