Wow, last post was 2018. Is this pack ever going to get completed?? Nah. Once this thing got signed it became frozen in time. I don't want to change anything, even if it doesn't have a gun or if the synchrotron is pretty far from the screen used ones. Maybe one day I'll make another one though. Now...

Hey KoCo , what is the plate that the castle nut, bolt and (what I assume is a) washer sit on in the nozzle? Hey Kevin, That plate is just that -- a plate! It's just a disc of aluminum that I cut the appropriate notches/holes into. Also, I know I keep saying exciting things are a...

The last modification to make before Salt Lake FanX was to install some LEDs in the blower's gun. I've been putting this off for a long time. There's not a lot to say here, other than it really makes the blower gun look neat! https://i.imgur.com/Mh8ekro.jpg And here's a couple pics from the con afte...

Boy, it's been a while. I have some updates for the gun coming at some point. Until then though: I wanted to wear the blower to a local con, but wanted to fix a couple things on it first. The biggest thing were the heat sinks for it. When I made my blower years ago, I didn't have many tools. As such...

I replaced the awful U-handle base plate I had made a couple years ago. I bought a 3/16" wall pipe with an inner diameter matching the outer diameter of the blower gun. I had the shop I bought it from cut it down to a 3" length. https://i.imgur.com/7FgGRI4.jpg Unfortunately, my phone died ...

I'm just working out of my garage. I was able to cut the body in half on my bandsaw. That was pretty fun. I had a roommate at the time help me feed it through and keep it aligned so we could make sure it didn't rotate during the cut. After that, I trued it up with a belt sander until each half sat f...

Where did you get your nose cone piece? And where did you get the metal for the body of the gun? First of all, I want to say We made it to the third page finally! This past week I worked a lot on the blower's internals. I originally wanted to make them out of steel conduit/fittings, but that ended up not working due to the small space available within the blower. So I went with PVC. If a fitting ended up being too large to fit inside the body, I could just cu...

Before I forget, I have another small update. How is this gun not finished?! I aim to fix that soon. I'm nearing the end of fabrication, and will soon be able to assemble this beast. Back to work! I recently picked up a 3D printed reboot gun kit from Demon Vice Commander. It's beautiful. He did a great job modeling it. More on that later. That was probably two or three years ago, but I think I used a Krylon something or another.
Honestly, I have no idea. I think your best bet is to go into a hardware store with reference photos. There's probably a ton of paints that would be almost exact to the blower main tank.

Hello James, Thanks for the kind words. Time for an update! I've been preparing to build the internals for this project. It's gonna be a heavy beast, but it'll mostly be for display, so oh well. I went ahead and started on the nozzle. Alright, here we go. The part you're referring to is an S-hook. Standard S-hooks can be bought at most hardware stores.
