I wouldn't modernize too much. An automatic trap is ok for me, but everything modernized else not really. To me this would be the same as designing a computer without a keyboard or anything else. A proton pack is nothing industrial like it already has been said. A proton pack is a homemade device, b...

Hi everyone, we wanna show you the trap used by us. The trap is incomplete, there are many parts missing, but at least it is showable and it's rolling. http://www.gbfans.com/images/pb/Primaeraggressor/Ghost Trap_trap1.jpg That's the trap. The rod to hold the trap is a metal rod I saw off a microphon...

Hi folks, just wanna share pics of our PKE meter here my girl made. She had the idea of using a larger lint brush and adding some SMD LEDs into and onto it (8 outside, 2 inside). The wings are just the cut off ends of a coat hanger painted silver. The LEDs don't blink or anything, they just light up...

Thanks. Yes I did the first coat very thin, but it was impossible to work further on with that stuff. The thin coat didn't stabilize it like it should have done so I mixed a new portion of resin and did another coat which was a little thicker. Most of the warped areas unfortunately were already ther...

Just go to the forum and read a little bit around, you can find many thoughts about resining there. A specific suit doesn't exist, there are many builders.

For paper the 405th suggest card stock or 110 weight paper which is similar in texture to a buisness card. It can be printed and folded and will hold it;s shape rater well, although you will want to provide some support while you are applying resin for the first time. Yes, that's exactly what I was...

I tried to make a spacer out of paper like so many have done with Halo armor suits. The idea came to my mind after looking at some results over at 405th and after printing and glueing an Iron Man faceplate. As Venkman71 also described the spacer to be a bitch to scratch build and as my foam spacers ...

As far as I understood, in the end this also would be some sort of fibreglass shell (or the pieces you would have to glue together). The mold however would be paper cast in resin, stiffened with resin soaked fibreglass-sheets. In the end you would sand away the paper. The tubes and stuff you would s...

Paper mache (or papier maché) is way more sturdy than one might think. In the last centuries, women were chewing paper at their little tea parties. What came out was paper pulp. They made some "jewels" out of it where you never would guess that those are made with paper. When completely dr...

While nothing is certain in this world, does this sound like it'll work? I also thought about this voice recorder stuff for sounds. The only problem I see here is the fact that those voice recorders normally play the sounds back completely, so if you got a 30 second sound it'll play for full 30 sec...

But what the hell would you expect from Oren Peli, the guy who made that film originally. He is scared even by Ghostbusters :walterpeck:

Thanks for your answers. In general if you want a durable pack it's cheaper in the long run to just not use foam at all as the cost of stuff to make it durable will be higher than just making it out of something better in the first place. The foam type I want to use is something like that used for i...
