Not really sure yet.
From a building standpoint it looks like a fun challenge.

From a movie prop point of view I think it needs a little less plumbing and some more wiring.

Whatever it ends up being I'm more excited to see how the GB community tackles replicating them.

Quick favor to ask of anybody that has purchased one of my bumpers. I've had a few people asking how well my bumpers fit on different shells, and I know it's a good fit on most accurate shells out there, but if anybody that has used one of my bumpers could just post what shell you used it on and wha...

So a while back somebody was asking me how I make a two piece mold (I don't remember who it was) and since I needed to make a new tube clamp mold I figured this would be a perfect example. Here is the most recent mold. http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/p675/Wiz0008/Ghostbusters%20Project/Casting/n...

My first pack was a scratch build on a budget, as long as you get the iconic shapes pretty close it will be good looking.
and even a basic light kit without sound will really bring it all together.

Still love this! Quick question for you: I see the holes that hold down the inner lid, but how have you got the outer lid secured? Bonus question: where did you get the front knobs from? There are two screws in ears on the back of the trap that the lid slips onto and a magnet on the front that hold...

Yep I ran the button and wiring inside the handle and I used some ridged foam as a mount for the
air pump to isolate the sound, but it's still pretty noisy.

I finally got off my butt and built a new trap to go with my Pack for Halloween. I just wanted a static prop to fill up belt space but couldn't pass up adding some smoke as well. Be sure to keep an eye on the For Sale section for parts, sometimes you can buy something for just a little
bit more than what you would spend scrapping it together yourself, and save a lot of time.

If money isn't a big issue then there are a lot of great parts for sale that will make the build easier. But if you are trying to keep it in a budget and like tinkering projects then building your first one from scratch is a great way to start, you will learn a lot and it's pretty satisfying knowing...

I will tell you from experience, with a one piece fiberglass outer shell make sure you have a thorough coating of release agent
on the outer shell before you start silicone.
I went a little skimpy on mine and had a hard time getting it out once it was cured.

I personally have never worked with a SC shell but I have had a few people that used my pumper tell me that the shell
is sometimes a hair smaller than normal.
So there is a chance a GBfans or MMM board will be on the large size but it should still work.

It will generate some heat but unless you are putting it on really thick or mixing up the resin to cure really fast it won't be enough to soften the shell. To be extra safe you could just do one thin layer of cloth and let it cure overnight and that will be enough to hold the shape for whatever you ...
