It depends on the materials that you are using. If you have an aluminum ion arm a 21/64 drill bit and a 1/8-27 NPT tap should do the trick for the elbow and top Clippard hex. If you're using a resin arm, it easiest to just drill a smaller hole first and the Dremel the hole until it's big enough to f...

I knew you were going to ask about the weld! It's actually there; I forgot to mention it and you just can't see it very well in the first picture. This is one of the few things that I had to compromise on as it's fake, but it looks the part well enough.

You'll want to use a #7 (13/64) drill bit for the holes in your motherboard brackets and THEN tap the holes with a 1/4-20 tap. If you drill with a 1/4" bit from the get go, the bolt will go right through the hole.

Here's one I bet nearly no one noticed: The small side disc on the Spengler thrower that attaches to the green lever rod does not have the counter sunk set screw, but rather a 4-40 socket head screw that sticks up a bit. http://www.gbfans.com/images/pb/grinders_18/Mobile Uploads_IMG_20140401_174626...

It's been discussed somewhere else, but the super thrower had the functioning scrolling gun bargraph, I think that's really the only detail that makes it stand out from a technical point of view. The hat next to the Clippard on the thrower lit as well. The other four throwers didn't feature this. I...

So the dots are on all four rings? Also, any one have measurements on their placement and how far apart the pairs of holes are? The holes seem to be more eyeballed than anything. I personally don't feel that they took any time to measure placement exactly. The Minnesota and the Spengler have them f...

The Spengler has what appear to be 6-32 tapped holes, DVC is correct in that the holes were filled for molding on the Venkman Minnesota. It's a weird detail for sure. After seeing the Spengler pack, I can't but wonder if they had something screwed on there before they went with the current bumper. T...

I don't have the tools or talent for making packs. I thought the same thing when I started this whole pack build extravaganza, but you learn as you go and it's very, very rewarding building it yourself and seeing it all come together. Do you have wires running down from your gun ear? Does that limi...

You can make an accurate pack and still have lots of room for artistic license. Take elements that you like from the various screen packs and add them to yours as well as you own personal touches. You're building this pack for you and no one else which can be hard to remember sometimes. Accuracy is ...

I couldn't imagine my thrower without the rotating front handle or the barrel pop mechanic that I built. It's part of the screen used prop and is essential if you are going for the highest degree of accuracy for the GB1 hero pack that you've decided to build. That said, it looks like you were set fr...

1/4" holes in both the injectors and the cyclotron hose "base" are all you need. Tubing stays in place nice and snug and it's accurate to boot.

To clarify, what I meant by "fasteners" were the actual structural rivets on the ALICE. If the GB1 packs were all riveted and bolted together with the spacers in place, which again, would make sense with the evidence of the bare aluminum on the Murrary hero motherboard, and just sprayed do...

The retrofitted hero's show bare metal where the spacers have been as well as missing paint on the booster tubes, it stands to reason that everything was assembled together on the pack and alice frame and then painted black in one go. I have often wondered this as well, and it makes total sense bas...

The injectors look fine, and I vote to leave them as is. The reason being is that the screen used packs were a mess and slapped together in haste. Straight lines and ninety degree angles don't make a pack.

Are you priming the thrower first, or just spraying on the Rustoleum satin? My first paint job on my CPU with the Rust satin on the bare aluminum was somewhat inconsistent and it peeled/chipped like crazy, especially the rear handle. I stripped the whole thing, and rubbed it down with some #0000 ste...

Not quite sure what you mean about the thicker end closer to the body. Do you mean only shave 1 side of the grips to make it fit? I would have thought to shave evenly on both sides. Nick's grips are the grips you'll want to use. What Enderwigan is tying to covey is that you'll have to cut or shave ...
