In the mean time before you upgrade your kit I'm wondering one thing. You said your using a kanakit 7 w with the volume knob on the out side, did you have to extend the wires from the volume knob to the amp? If so check to make sure that the wires your using are solid wire and not braided wire. It s...

Very nice work! I've been thinking about doing something similar to mine, and adding the leg pockets too as I miss them a lot! When I downgraded from a nomex I realized I didn't have a place to keep my wallet any more. :(

Does the lower rod of the cap come off? I've got one that unscrews on my pacman and one that was pressed in to place on my gb1. If you can remove it you can probably avoid the cost and time in labor replacing the whole cap and just have the knurling done. I'm no expert on the process but you might e...

Yeah I had been thinking of actually getting a 1/18" scale machine (it's some type of candy box) and just using that as I don't know if I could do justice to the fine details with paint. The good thing about this or really any pack is that it's never really "finished" you just stake b...

It's more of a cautionary message than a "feel bad for me" post.
I knew that oils strip paint but I never even considered that thing to be harmful to paints as it's a fairly common household item and I've never seen anyone have this problem before.

Seeing as how your basically done already I'd say don't worry about it, but for future reference I've had a leg hose connector sewn on my suit for about 3 years and never had an issue with it going through the wash. Yeah I hated to buy the second one for the same 2-3" but buckling the thing with out that was like cutting me in half. It's one of those things where you hate to do it before, but never really think about it after its done.

I too, needed to link the belts. However Im also handy with a needle and thread so I chopped one male side from one belt and the female side off the other. Then sewed the two chopped ends together, after I made sure it was still properly laced and would be functional. I've been using it that way for...

Fair enough. When I switched from the cat5 to the double ribbons I noticed a difference in the hose aswell. I didn't really like it either. It also effected the way in which it flexed as the ribbons were a bit stiffer since I had to fold them in half to pass them through the loom. I just told my sel...

I've been keeping the inside of my gun bodies as clean as possible for a few years by doing the phone cable method. I honestly have no idea what my most prized item is, clearly the two packs cost a lot so I care about them but I'd sell them if the price was worth the time and parts put in to them. So it's not a sentimental thing. I guess if I base my decision on how much I like / use something vs how much I paid ...
