I wear a size 10.5 tennis shoe. Ended up getting a pair of size 12 boots. They are still a bit snug but work for me.

Thanks for the tip. I just roughed the zippers up with sandpaper. Ended up roughing up the entire boot. They look a little bit better now. May pick up a silver paint pen later this morning anyway.

If I read your post correctly and you are in the LA area, check out the plastic depot. I bought a 4' x 8' sheet of styrene and only used about 1/2 of the sheet for my entire pack. They sell smaller pieces but I didn't want to run short.

I didn't think so as I've never had to buy / wear wide shoes. I guess the best thing going forward would be to go measure it at a shoe store before purchasing.

Is there an exact formula for working out actual size vs. boot size?

Okay, I'm in need of some help. I just purchased a pair of Corcoran #995's 10.5 Medium (based on my shoe size) and they are a TIGHT fit. I'm going to do a return / exchange but am wondering if 11 Wide will be a wise choice. Any suggestions from those in the comfort zone? Thanks, Ted. Prefect42.
