Ooof. I'm pretty surprised at how inaccurate he went with this, considering his usual M.O. for being, as Jay noted, anal retentive about his props. It would pass for a casual fan, but it's pretty far off in a lot of ways.

I can confirm that Paul Feig's autobiographical books are hilarious (and cringe-worthy uncomfortable) - a good deal of his real life made it into the storylines of Freaks and Geeks.

I just left mine empty, Smith - I used to have steel wool in there, but it wouldn't work with the smoke or light effects. I don't notice much of a difference with the wool missing.

Is it really possible he designed and got ready the packs, trap, and car in two weeks? That seems insane to me.

EDIT: the text interview states six weeks (the video states two), which seems more manageable. Still very impressive. Must have been a blast to work on.
