Im not much on the strength, but its not a bad alternative when you cant get to a welder. Just have to make sure you get the right temp and you can actually get a decent weld look. That way you have a coarse thread that will bite the resin and a metal thread that you can screw to. Lots of people use them when attatching the bottom plate to their gunbox.
