Talk about stuff that has nothing to do with Ghostbusters!

So just built my 3rd 3d printer, a Delta style, and was wondering if anyone else had any experience with sitting one up? Mine keeps wanting to crash into the build plate and calibration is starting to become a nightmare. All of my software even ignore the auto level I tried out, and since the bed is built into the frame, I can't exactly level that. Considered going into the firmware and toying with that but curious to know if any one had any thing else I could try out before sifting though the code and fighting with my knockoff arduino.

Sorry for the late reply (I am a terrible lurker), but the main cause of delta crashes is the incorrect radius for the delta calculations in the firmware. The easiest way to test this is to put the head a small distance away from the bed, then jog it in X and Y positive slowly. See if it rises or falls as it moves. With a perfectly calibrated delta, the Z will remain the same with all X and Y movements.
