So we all know that the Ecto-1 had seen some wear & tear since its renovation. In particular, the siren was crooked and basically ready to fall off, the Propello-ray beacon was somehow damaged with the faux lens taking a hit and the radar dome was bolted on backwards.

I just saw this photo posted on Twitter by an LA-area KCBS 2 reporter:


Is this the renovated movie car? The radar is bolted in the correct position now, the Federal siren not only looks securely fastened, but also looks like it has an actual chrome finish ... and the front lightbar has its bracket back. What new devilry is this?

It's not the original Ecto... It doesn't have the stainless steel rocker plate. It looks more like Venkman71's Ectomobile...

I'm starting to think everyone's right. Unfortunately, the Sony Ecto-1 may not get the TLC it needs.

Sean's car was at CBS studios last week for something, he was posting photos from the lot on his facebook.

You can take it as fact that this is not the Sony car.
