So I've been doing more research on an eventual project of building up an Ecto with an actual Caddy, or something close to the year/style. In my research, it occurred to me that I've not seen anyone do a conversion in the vein of the Extreme Ghostbusters Ecto. Like with the rollar cage, grill guard, etc. Anyone ever seen this, or close to something like this, on a real life ecto?. Obviously, not talking about a jeep or something that may have these already built in

I had thought it would be great to build a Extreme ECTO 1 replica using a 70s/80s Caddie.

I would try to replicate the Trendmasters toy though,
The animated version kind of seems bland to me compared to the toy!

As far as I can recall, nobody's ever built a full-scale replica of the Ecto-1 from XGB, this may be partially down to the fact it's an amalgam of various Cadillacs, and also maybe due to the fact it's less popular than the movie and RGB versions.

I always thought the ATC ecto was inspired somewhat by the EGB car.
