In the newly released Haynes Ecto-1 manual, it says that the PVC pipe that is mounted opposite the A-6 oxygen tanks is 8” in diameter. I’ve browsed some of the reference photos and can’t tell if this is accurate or not.

Can anyone confirm the 8” diameter, or has anyone ever measured the pipe on the Ecto at the Sony lot?

I can't tell for sure, either, but measuring the diameter compared to the par46 deck light flashers(chrome teardrops in front of the lightbar) in a screen-grab from straight on the front shows them to be similar size in diameter to the pipe. It also measures to be slightly larger diameter than the air tanks. I used 6" pipe on mine and I think it looks fine.
