Extreme ghostbusters pack

Here is my first pack i've built, sadly its been on my workbench for 3 years and now shes finished well about 98% anyways i still have to vacuum form the end caps to go on the canisters and finish my dry ice chamber but so far shes looking great IMO.

I've tested around with a new rust method i have been fiddling with so i figured id give it a go on here, it's a mixture of cinnamon testors rust paint and some thinner for the paint i think it turned out pretty believable.

I wanted to go with a real grimy beat up look since allot of the art from the cartoon series had a real dark dirty dismal appearance to it i wanted to capture allot of that in this pack, yes i know its not a exactly accurate i wanted to take some custom liberty's with this pack to make it as "real" looking as i could sort of a film stylized version.

It also features a series of flashing led's around the handle and a dry ice chamber to vent a smoke from behind the black cooling pipe's on the lower bridge of the pack using a old computer fan to push the smoke out in more intense bursts.
I would like to add a replica props sound chip at some point in time but ill be finishing my gb2 pack first.

What do you think ?

i gotta say... IMHO this is the best EGB pack that I've seen so far. I love the choices you have made as far as the rust, paint, wires, etc. I hope it doesn't take you to long to post a video regarding the dye ice method. once again GREAT JOB!!!!

My god, that's beautiful. Makes mine look like crap, lol. Seriously good work man. I'd be proud to strap a badass looking pack like that on.

Wow, thanks didn't really think allot of people would like it with all the changes i made to it but im glad it was a crowd pleaser i should have the dry ice finished in a week or so ill post a video on it when i try it out.
I plan on running a smaller hose to a large syringe that would be concealed where i could readily have my dry ice in the container the one good squirt of the warm water and ill have people running for the hills from a total particle reversal.

I would like to add some more lights just to give it a little more function, but i don't want it to be tacky or look like a Christmas tree as well. I was watching Moby ghost last night and saw the red blinking light on the packs and gun where is was about to overheat and explode and i thought about putting those in only problem i wouldn't be able to do the gun due to the solid body construction (kind of wish i did vacuum form the gun body now) but back to the lights, i also wanted to add some ambient lighting maybe under the boxes just to give a glow and maybe bring more detail to the pack itself, any suggestions?

I've never even seen an episode of EGB and this looks amazing. I probably wouldn't walk into a bank or subway with it on though.

Never saw an episode of EGB either. But that pack kicks some serious ass. I particularly love the weathering and the little details and parts, really helps to sell i as a real piece of machinery. Oh and light it up! :D

For those who dont know what this is maybe this might ring a bell (has anyone even made one of these before? )

And what can i say but its a start this will have the same treatment and effect of realism added as the pack, i think its time a certian "scientist" becomes real more or less.

Amazing. Simply amazing.

Since you asked for feedback and presumably aren't just compliment-fishing, the one thing I'd say is that less is more when it comes to warning labels and stickers. You kind of went a tad overboard (especially with the radioactive stickers and black+red circuit diagrams), and as a result there isn't a whole lot of logic to their placement.

Other than that though, obviously the best EGB pack ever.

NOBODY ASKED YOU

Just kidding, thanks for the honesty. I was seriously thinking about taking off the red diagram sticker off that's between the two boxes and perhaps do something a little more custom there a replacing the triangular rad sticker on the top corner above the boxes but i don't know much about designing labels nor do i have a program to make them on my computer so i pretty much works with what i could find and i didn't really like how the other stickers looked on the pack ill swap em out if i find something more suited to the placement, any suggestions?

I love the radiation stickers. I disagree about those not looking good. If you want a dry rub wiring diagram, I could throw you one.

Sure that would be great i had a few extra like i said in the video for a trap i put on the plates but that would look better than the decal.

Killer room and props. That glow paint would be great to use in a haunted house.

Thanks for the idea. :)

i intended to do the same with the glow in the dark paint. I put that huge ass black light behind the couch and the glow is nice, but i didn't like the stain lt had during the day, it just ate at me. But to each is own. I ilke the slimer job you did. I hope to see some more updates! great job

I did happen to find other paints that dried clear that were for sale online but the were like 15 a can compaired to the 5 i paid for this the stain can look off but most of the time i keep this room dim so i can play xbox, watch ,movies etc. so the black light is always on so you really see the glow more than the stain.
You did happen to give me the idea when you put the black light in the room my mind started going hrmm glow in the dark slime ....could be a hell of a concept!

I just wish i could make my vigo talk like yours, i cant figure out how it was you wired that thing. I saw the components but couldn't figure it out i was thinking about using one of those motion sensors that are for security systems i already have them in my house so i figured it would be one of those things no one would put two and two together on and not be noticed really. :whatever:
