The dimensions look really close from what I saw. A solid-piece bottom or top could easily work. The length might come up a bit short, though, but if you have a friendly liquor store in the area who will give you the box for free, it might be a good board to build on. Plus, a little extra scrap wood you can cut and sand for other small components. Has anyone actually done this? I can't be the first to have thought of it.
