I just got a fc2 chaser board on eBay for 20 bucks. The same board they had in the movie. For the power cell I used the baktronics bk116. Worked out well and under 50 bucks. If you can solder this would work great on the spirt packs. Here is a short video!

It's a nice alternative because for smaller packs you can make the bk116 shorter.
