It can be powered by anything between 9v and 14v, most of us here use the 12V blue brick battery available in the shop. There are two terminals labeled V+ and GND, those are your battery connectors. IN the shop page for this item, towards the bottom it lists "documentation" which is the full wiring diagram for standalone power as well as working with the GBFans sound board and other lights kits. Good Luck!

Page 15 of the wand light instructions details where the battery connections are for "stand alone" - not connected to the sound board. As the board draws some power at all times you will either have to disconnect the battery by hand, or as recommended in the instructions put a switch on the positive battery wire.

22 AWG wire should be more than adequate for power.

My pack is not a styrene or fiberglass shell, It was built with individual parts and boxes and wood. The sound does not come from a board, it is sequenced into individual speakers by individual separate sound chips.. For this light kit the main power needs to remain on for the barograph power down sequence and so the on and off (open closed) needs to run separately from the power. The main toggle switch power on on the gun box triggers power on to the relay to the already powered light board. The shut of opens the relay and lets the powered light board run its shut down sequence. It is the way I built it. Crazy but there you go.
