Hi all.

I'm gearing up to start assembling a new pack soon and I'd like to add some of the smaller details to the shell.
Are these areas that I've circled also nailheads or am I imagining things?

I think they are the head of the nails of the wood pard on the master.

I thought so since there's a couple of them visible on the first and last rib at the front of the powercell but I didn't want to go ahead and add them here without confirmation.

Holy moley, I never made that connection, but they do look like tiny nails! That makes some sense too since, as I understand it, the little ribs are wood and they are attached to foam. Good eye!

I may have spotted some more on the gunmount
Although its difficult to tell with all the wood grain in that area.

I can't say for sure mind you since I've never seen a hero pack in person so it could just be my eyes playing tricks but its seems awfully coincidental that they are the same size as the small and large nailheads elsewhere on the pack and they line up enough that they seem purposefully placed instead of just random markings.

It seems reasonable to conclude that most of the fins likely have evidence of the nails, something a bit more robust than glue alone when the buck was being assembled prior to creating the mold for the fibreglass shells.

That settles it then. I'll add them to my build.
If it turns out not to be accurate it's an easy fix

It never ceases to surprise me how details can suddenly jump out at you even after years of scanning through the reference images.
