What kind of equipment are these cables usually found on? I'm trying to assemble a fairly accurate pack while spending as little money as possible. I attend a college with a large computer science/engineering program that's constantly getting rid of outdated equipment and there are several pack parts (toggle switches, resistors, etc.) that I might be able to pick up gratis. These cables obviously go with some kind of electronic or computer gear...what should I be on the lookout for?

Networking. The braid cuts down on RF static. Good luck finding the stuff! The 25-pair braided stuff I found last year, but I never ran across anything else. I know Mouser has it for $230 for 100' of wire. "Gratis" would definiately help! Just make sure it is free first.
