Hi guys, Mike here. How is everyone? I've been gone for a while and absent from the GB world (at least online) but have still been doing my thing around the Tulsa area with the guys. A few of my friends I've made on this site I still chat with on FB and Youtube (you know who you are) :-) but I miss chatting with the ones I don't get to see on other sites. Don't know about the rest of you....but this past summer was horrible!! I'm originally a California native, and have spent the last 17 years in the N.E. Oklahoma area......but lord.....this past summer must have been their hottest ever.

Not sure about you folks....but wearing a suit, a proton pack, and driving an old ambulance in 110 + degree heat takes its toll. And then some. LoL What's that one line again......... "This Job is definately not worth 11 5 a year" LoL

At any rate, I've been catching up on many of the videos, pics, and updates in the Southwest region, as well as all over everywhere else. WoW!! You guys have been busy. :-) Looks like a lot of fun. I especially dig the photos and videos from the recent comic cons. Very cool indeed. And although this past summer was a real scorcher.... me and the guys still got out and played too. Still using our name "The Real Oklahoma Ghostbusters" and taking a video camera whenever possible......I feel I could do this everyday if given the chance.......weather permitting of course. :-) But moving on now.......wanted to share some of our 2011 highlights of what T.R.O.G. have been up to and since a picture (or video in this case) is worth a thousand words, wanted to share a few with my buds here.

And before you ask...........yes.........I've taken a real liking to the Extreme Ghostbusters cartoon theme. LoL

Most recently (and a very short clip too) me and the guys did some Halloween rehearsals in front of a green screen in the attempt to do a Halloween greeting for our friends around Tulsa. "I" honestly don't think it's finished......but the guys dig it, and we had a blast messing around in our green screen room.

And one of our most exciting and wild days out together was at the annual Sci Fi convention in Tulsa. Had a real blast at this one and even had Garret Wang messing around with us with Ecto.

In the "off" days, or during the days when we jumped from one place to another, taking advantage of the nice weather, and getting all the guys together, we amassed several outings on video, and I pieced it together in a video called, "Touring Tulsa" Again, was a ton of fun each day out, and had a lot of surprises too. Including an 80s Themed prom in Downtown Tulsa, and a tour around Tulsa visiting the schools in the area making a lot of kiddos very happy.

And I just realized there are a few that I missing from my Youtube channel. LoL Well, until I dig those up, I have a highlight video from last Halloween that I don't think I shared here. We are always doing the Tulsa Zoo's HallowZooEen show which lasts a week long. We've had three awesome years of performing there, each time partnering up with the Tulsa Sheriff's Department. All except for last Halloween. We came as our own group, and did our own thing. Hence our theme being "On our own" :-) Much of that video was put into a DVD for the guys, but here is the highlight video from that week long show.

And now, with Halloween right around the corner, we've got more stuff coming too. No Zoo this year. Kind of a let down that we're not performing there this time.......but what started out as a let down, as turned into something that we can hardly wait to go to. We'll be playing the River Spirit Casino for their Ghostbusters show this year. And I think most of you already know who's gonna be there. Woo Hoo!!! Can't freaken wait!! And if they allow cameras inside, then rest assured I'll be bringing mine. :-)

And for future plans for us.......well, it's gonna go something like this: Gonna retire all of our proton packs and turn them into wall decorations and begin work on 3 new packs that are more movie accurate and less of a cross between the movie and cartoon pack. And will begin work towards the end of this year on another Ecto 1 replica. That one is gonna be a handful. Big Time!! LoL.

At any rate, thanks for sharing with me folks. And don't worry....this won't be a - drop in - post - and split. So much has happened in the past year including loosing one of our team members, fighting the weather, and just the daily adventures known as life. But in all of that......we still love dawning the gear, busting out the car, and playing all over town.

I'm hoping that with this big show coming up on the 28th this month at River Spirit Casino, maybe we'll get a chance to meet some other GBs face to face. :-)

Peace all, thanks again for sharing.

Mike & The Real Oklahoma Ghostbusters.
