Hi all,
Been a very busy year, but I have updated some of the Ghost Trap and Pedal files from my Tested build. Files and updated print guide can still be found here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1394492

- Added cut-up versions of the side panels and bottom frame for smaller print beds. The bottom frame could probably be smaller but I didn't want to cut it in the middle.

- Added GB1 vector plate, resistor and matching 'aluminum' plate and side panel with appropriate holes

- Added a new version of the 1591 side box for pedal with larger socket hole for Omron-style tube sockets. The Amphenol version is the original version just renamed to reflect the difference between the two. I also added new drill templates for the Amphenol and Omron sockets for actual Hammond boxes. I will be carrying the Omron sockets for foreseeable future.

- Updated Print Guide which is included with 3D files to reflect new parts and clarify some points

ELECTRONICS GUIDE - Have been getting a lot of questions on this and apologize for delays. It's been a crazy year and trying to write a layman's guide for the electronics has been tough. I had to do some revisions with Jeremy who designed the guts and have been trying to simplify some things. I am actively working on it and hope to have it done soon - not giving deadlines any more. The plan is to sell the guide at a modest fee - as it's a ton of work. I will also be offering a few of the electronic and mechanical components which are hard to find. For the bulk of the electronics I will simply post an Adafruit shopping list, right now they run close to $200. I will release the Arduino code and SFX for free as well.

As a reminder, I designed the kits so they can be fully assembled, painted, etc and easily taken back apart to install electronics, so build those kits while I finish this up.

KITS - I just put together a bunch of hardware kits of screws, connectors, knobs, hoses, etc to assemble the 3D printed parts. I've had trouble finding the right color connectors for some of the pedal parts, so they may need painted. I generally haven't been offering the actual 3D parts as they take a long time to print. I've been able to reduce the price on most kits and am currently offering 10% off with code BIGTWINKIE.

I've just bought a trap from Benofkent props and was hoping to find a good place to buy all the electronics, lights, servos etc.
I don't see any reason why they wouldn't. Only problem I can see is adapting the servo mechanism may be tricky.

While we're at it - an update on Electronics Guide. It's fully written and my wife did a test build following the guide. Based on questions and comments she had I am doing some revisions which also required taking a bunch more pictures. It's close to 90 pages right now and covers building the electronic modules THEN walls through building the trap while installing the electronics. It also covers building a fully wired hose so it can be triggered from the pedal. I'm finishing revisions and compiling parts list and troubleshooting guides. I am pushing to release by end of February - for real this time!

MORE FILE UPDATES

I uploaded a new version of the top frame assembly with beefed up door supports.

I also uploaded new versions of the GB1 vector plate, aluminum plate and side panel. The original had the resistor centered on the vector plate - I realized that it's actually off-center and the new parts reflect that.

#1: 95 page Electro-Mechanics Guide is now available for download in my shop -
https://charlesworthdynamics.etsy.com

#2: just added to my site - for free -http://bit.ly/3D_Kit_Instructions
- Arduino Code - released as-is - no support!
- SFX Files
- Adafruit electronics list: https://www.adafruit.com/wishlists/457074
- Hardwired Hose Guide

Please see the Sneak Peek PDF which includes the first few sections of the guide as well as a full list of parts:
http://bit.ly/Electro_Sneak-Peek

Due to Etsy's stingy digital file size limit the immediate download you get is a way lower resolution than I originally created. I will email you within 24 hours with a MediaFire link for the 95MB high res version that you can really zoom in on the pictures with. I can also do PayPal if you want to PM me.

The guide is geared toward the layman who can solder and carefully follow directions. The electronics are built outside the trap in modules with removable connectors. This allows everything to be tested then installed. The modular design allows for easier troubleshooting and maintenance.

- Fully illustrated with tons of photos
- Fully bookmarked and internally linked for easy navigation
- Tool list
- Hardware list - the fasteners needed for assembly - also available in my Standard Hardware Kit: https://www.etsy.com/listing/271374377
- Full parts list - all electronic parts are listed - most are available from Adafruit and a shopping list is included
- Skills needed section & FAQ
- Sanding and painting
- Assembling electronic modules
- Updated Deluxe Trap and Pedal build directions with integrated electronics installation for a seamless build
- Arduino setup
- Hardwired hose and Foster connection guide so Trap can be triggered from Pedal while hose can still be removed
- Troubleshooting
