I saw this and the line from the movie immediately popped into my head. Gave me a chuckle when I was bored at work yesterday. Look here.

Neither did I...

Although its interesting to note that they quote the wrong year in the movie. The article says 1908, not 1909.

Yea. Dan gets the year wrong. But the event did actually happen. Although I thought they solved it and said it was a meteor exploding over the area. Idk. Thats one theory. Unless you like the thought of a nuclear powered UFO exploding instead.
