I'm temporarily reopening this just to post something I vividly remembered concerning the suits. In June last year, Austin Young posted that when asking Ernie Hudson himself about the suits, the actor responded that they were, indeed, Khaki.

I really don't think you can find a more definitive source than that, Spiked-Angie. Winston Zeddemore said the suits were Khaki, and so that trumphs everything else.
