Whoever cut the trailers might want to find a new job. I think you won't read anything new with my pros and cons:
Things I didn't like:
- They NEVER stop talking, no pauses or whatsoever, which feels like they try to fill the whole movie.
- Weird @ss pacing with plotholes. Wiig tries to get a cab to get her gear and saves the group 3 minutes later, odd.
- Flipping the finger and shooting the ghost in the balls. Was it REALLY necessary?
- No background for Rowan aside that he was bullied.
- Creating ghost devices seems easy for anyone.
- The ghosts fighting scene near the end, mostly when McKinnon went all kung-fu fighting.
- Rushed ending. Also the "put the danger in the portal" gimmick has been seen 10000 times.
What I liked:
- Jones' performance. She felt like the only credible role, the others being too cartoony or dumb.
- Ghost Rowan CGI with its texture. It was waaaay better than the other ghosts.
- Audacity with the equipment.
- Some of the jokes are well-put.
- Annie Potts & Ernie Hudson's cameos.
I'd give it either a good 5 or 6.
