Nope, the scene where she is trying to get a taxi to Chinatown is extended a bit, but we don't actually see her get to the HQ and back.
Oh okay. Thanks for the info. I'm excited to see the directors cut. Wait for the DVD release.
It seems her kit wasn't at HQ to begin with. There's a massive (and quite emotional) deleted sequence where Erin goes back to Columbia to beg Dean Fillmore to readmit her to the faculty, with her pack as 'proof' of paranormal studies being a legitimate scientific field. After humoring her Fillmore has her escorted out by security, leading to a confrontation outside with Abby. The two part ways on bad terms, with Erin going back to her apartment, presumably taking her pack with her. This is evidenced by a sequence intercutting between her at her apartment and Abby at HQ, who is mournfully regarding the empty space on the wall where Erin's pack should hang. This then leads into the possession sequence at Abby's end, and Erin discovering Rowan's 'notes' at hers.
I had noticed before that Erin's pack was missing during Rowan's rampage through the HQ in both the theatrical and extended cuts, but didn't suspect that such a massive and quite emotionally charged chunk of footage was removed from the film. It's really a shame that this material was not included in the extended cut, because I think that their friendship is the emotional rock of the movie and I would have liked to seen it expanded on. Likewise with the other deleted material establishing how their relationship parted ways on a bitter note to begin with (as detailed in the novelisation, Erin failed to turn up for a TV interview about 'Ghosts of Our Past', leaving Abby looking like a fool who got mercilessly mocked).
Thankfully, there's always fan-edits
This still doesn't explain however how Erin got both her pack and uniform, since she went to Columbia in the pink/white top she wears in the extended 'Nosebusters' sequence. She must have run from her encounter with Cabbie Dan back to her apartment and then headed over to Chinatown to pick up her flightsuit and the proton shotgun.
There is however a deleted scene showing Holtz fixing up the damage Rowan did to the packs, with Abby furiously trying to contact Erin on her cellphone.
