I've been running across quite a few fan fiction stories based on the Real Ghostbusters that insist that the Ghostbusters Firehouse is on Mott and Pell streets in Lower Manhattan.
No it's not!
Everyone knows the Firehouse is on Moore Street. Mott and Pell intersect in the heart of Chinatown in a dead end. There's no Firehouse, but there's a bakery and a pharmacy and a cleaners.
Does anyone know where the Mott and Pell idea came from? Is it just some weird fanon idea that someone randomly came up with (I haven't seen any other mentions of it outside of Fan fiction) or was it mentioned in the cartoon?
I haven't seen any mention of it in the cartoon myself, unless it was from a later episode, and I always avoided those like the plague. But if it was in an episode, can someone tell me which one it was?
