One of the fringe benefits of learning how to make your own proton pack is that the skills transfer.
Short of pack vac-formed shells, I have not done any vacuforming for awhile. I thought I'd break the draught and try something new, a phaser rifle from Star Trek TNG used in several of the movies (starting with First Contact) as well as DS9 and Voyager.
Here's the original wood buck (made in two halves):
