I'm not sure if I should buy Mattel's PKE meter or build my own because I live in the uk Mattel can't send it and I'm not sure if it's out of print and if I do build my own I don't know where to begin or how to make a good screen accurate one can anyone help me?

MattyCollector hasn't had the PKE Meter in stock on their website in a while, meaning that if you were to buy it, you'd have to take into account the price inflation.

Depending on the budget you're working with, it might be more cost effective to build one.

There are a number of good tutorials in this section of the forum where people have made PKE Meter replicas based on the one in the movie. Some people have made theirs entirely from scratch, others have used resin PKE Meter shells... or even genuine Iona Shoe Polishers for their builds.

The best place to start, if you opt for a build, is to see if you an either get the real Polisher, or a cast of one.

Hi, I'm also in the UK i've just ordered two Matty PKE meters, first arrived today and second has just been shipped from Spain.
They are out there but aren't cheap.
I have to say though , I'm pretty chuffed with it, its pretty impressive.
