The base of the handle looks good for the most part. Are you going to try to add the raised lip around the view screen unit back in?

Yea- I considered that a "trim" piece - wanted to get the main "bones " of the shape first - will most likely do that when I do the bottom ribs

Ran out of supplies - gonna have to get more stuff before I can continue with the screw hole relocation - bummer -

Can concentrate of the wings /arms until I can get those supplies

I'd use a Dremel tool to thin the plastic behind the rectangular holes, then use a small drill to perforate the holes, then an X-Acto knife and small file to square them off. You might also have to thin the walls on the viewer "hood" at some point. Your plastic stock might be a little on the thick side.

Yea the plastic is on the thick side - I prefer things over engineered and built to last - LOL

I will try and thin it out to shape it - as you suggested --
I'm pleased with how it's progressing so far

Aaaah! Very nice and inspiring for me to continue as well... (too much work at work and two young kids [love them but 'oh grumble'])! Also see my temporarily somewhat dormant build at viewtopic.php?f=5&t=38792
