Some screen shots comparisons found online.

GB has a slight change with the grain but the 2014 to me seems to have finer grain but not much of a difference. Numbers at the top of the pics for each screenshot.

I just got my copy of the Blu-ray.

You will not be disappointed with the deleted scenes on the GB2 Blu-ray. I will be making a full post later tonight but some cool things I noticed on first watch through (spoiler tags just in case):

I did have the Digibook on pre order at Amazon, but after shipping it was almost $24. Best Buy currently wants $17.99 for the Digibook. I think I'll run up to Best Buy on Tuesday and use my $5 off coupon to buy it, and it'll be considerably less than what I was originally gonna pay for it.

I didn't know where to post this, but those GB2 suits sure look a lot more blue than grey or charcoal on this copy. I can't play this int computer, but maybe someone can do some screen caps of it and compare it to the DVD version.

One of the Barnes and Noble stores had a copy, so I reserved it on the internet and went and picked it up. Unfortunately they did not honor the coupon so I ended up paying $28.88 in the end, way more than I wanted to spend. But I'm just glad to have this edition in my possession the day after release when all the other stores I tried sold out in less than a day. I could've waited, but who knows how long it would've been as this release seems to be in high demand.

I noticed this too. They appear very navy/dark blue on my tv (50" 720p plasma, so maybe not the best in the universe but still good).

The GB1&2 combo is on Amazon for $19.96. I Pre-ordered and got it for $18.39, and they sent it overnight to me Monday. I got it at 10am Tuesday thanks to some release date guarantee.
Interestingly enough, I had ordered a new pair of boots for my costume on Monday and they sent those next-day with the blu-ray at no extra charge.

That's because the suits actually ARE blue.

I wished the whole idea of them being grey / charcoal would go away.

slimer28 wrote:The AZ GB's used to debate over what color the GB suits were so we finally asked Aykroyd himself when he came to Phoenix ans his reply was "blackish grey"
Aykroyd has been incorrect about a large number of details when fans ask about them. Going to an actor and asking technical or production questions about a 25-30 year old movie is not going to be reliable.

If they have it at Walmart, buy it with the coupon, then take that copy to Barnes and Noble and return it and get your original $28.88 back. There's no difference between the copies so they won't care if you return it there.

I think he's saying you should buy a copy from Barnes & Noble with the coupon then return that unopened copy to walmart for a refund.
I'd say just eat the $10 difference and give the coupon to someone.

I actually did try using the coupon at Barnes and Noble and they wouldn't take it. When I bought that copy at Barnes and Noble for $28.88 on Wednesday, I got the feeling that it was one of the last copies in the Fort Wayne area. It was the fifth place I had tried, and I went all over the city to get my hands on a copy. I didn't see any copies at Walmart today anyways, they seem to still be Sold Out. Even if I paid more than I wanted to, it was worth it as it is now the prized edition in my entire Blu Ray/DVD collection. One things for sure, here in Fort Wayne, Indiana this collection is in high demand.
