34 year old dude from Western Canada here and finally at that time in my life where I feel like I can really start (slowly) indulging in the sort of prop making shenanigans that this forum is renoun for. I definitely wouldn't mind being a part of a local-ish community while I'm at it. Feel free to hit me up.
I am a programmer/web developer by trade. The aspiration is to build a sturdy/solid pack (I have a strong back) as well as program the lights/sounds. After several weeks of watching/reading around the Internet, I feel like the community has a great sense of pride in putting these things together. I think this is awesome.
